Hi Tony,
That sounds like a fun solution! We got ours via my housemate''s parents who got it from their supplier!

Hi Chris,
that is very neat. I once resorted to put a webcam in front of the meter and capturing an image every hour. Unfortunately
it involved some manual OCR to get the data! Did you change supplier to get a free one?

Hi guys, I remember Tony demoing a system he was running at home which recorded temperature, light levels etc. at his house. We''ve
recently got a power monitor ( http://www.currentcost.co.uk/) which has a serial connection which I''ve connected to my server. I am going to look at integrating this into a web service
for displaying current power usage/history - usefully it is actually outputs XML. Is any of the stuff you developed for your system publicly available? Any other hints/suggestions to consider when developing
such a system? This may end up with me getting the "bug" and getting more probes to add to the system! Cheers, Chris
